On Friday, September 18, as part of Nantes Digital Week and the "Je choisis la French Tech" program, Tech Alternatives Nantes will bring together a dozen companies and three local professional associations and networks at La Cantine x La French Tech Nantes with a single goal: to show IT managers that it is now possible to meet many technological needs locally with proven, off-the-shelf solutions.
Moving from talk about digital sovereignty to concrete technological choices
In just a few years, digital sovereignty has become a frequent topic of discussion within companies and public organizations. But between political debates and decisions made at the IT system level, taking action can sometimes be difficult.
Tech Alternatives Nantes aims to facilitate exactly that step.
Throughout the day, conferences, panel discussions, case studies, and networking sessions will provide an opportunity to discover solutions already in production and to speak directly with the companies that develop them.
The goal is not to ask organizations to completely rebuild their IT systems, but to enable them to identify, brick by brick, the areas where they can diversify their suppliers, strengthen their autonomy, and better manage their technological dependencies.
A well-established local digital ecosystem
Tech Alternatives Nantes was born from a collective effort among several digital players in Nantes, with the support of La Cantine x La French Tech Nantes, and has quickly brought together local companies, associations, and networks around a shared observation: many alternatives already exist locally, but they remain under-identified by the organizations that could use them.
The event brings together companies operating at different levels of the digital chain: infrastructure and data centers, cloud and hosting, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, data, software, and digital services.

This diversity is intended to allow CIOs, CTOs, and technical teams to match their needs with concrete solutions, while also better identifying the technology companies located nearby.
